You can help keep your union strong by asking your workmates who currently pay their union subscriptions through payroll to switch to paying by direct debit.
By paying by direct debit you:
• Will continue to be protected at work and able to access support, advice and services that are exclusive to UNISON members
• Will be in control of your own finances
• Can be sure that your contributions go to your union – the employer will not be able to charge an administration fee
• Your employer will not know that you are a union member
• You will be showing the Government that their attack on public services and workers’ rights won’t work
If you can distribute materials to your colleagues and encourage them to switch then you could be a UNISON Switch Champion.
